PAYMENTS:
Water and Sewer Bills are due February 15th, May 15th, August 15th, and November 15th.
You can make payments:
Online: You can now use the following link located to the right to make payments online for water/sewer payments. You can also view past payments or upcoming amounts due.
By Check: Payments can be accepted in person or by mail. Checks should be made payable to Borough of Island Heights. There is a drop box located next to the main doors of Borough Hall where payments can be put in before or after business hours.
Remember to:
Put your account number or Block/Lot on the check.
Include the Water and Sewer stub you are paying.
Include a self-addressed envelope for any information you require returned. i.e.: receipt of payment.
If you are paying through your bank online, include your Account# or Block/Lot/Qual number and allow enough time for your bank to send the check to our office.
Timely Payments
Water and Sewer payments must be received in this office on or before the 25th. However should the 25th fall on a Friday, weekend or a legal Holiday, you will have the next business day to make payments. Payments received after the grace period will be assessed 18% interest per annum. Failure to receive a Water and Sewer bill does not exempt you from paying your W/S or the interest due on delinquent W/S.
The following is a breakdown of the Water/Sewer Rates which are metered and billed on a quarterly basis.
SURCHARGE – $89.00 PER QUARTER FOR NJEIT LOAN TO CONSTRUCT NEW WATER TOWER/TREATMENT PLANT
WATER MINIMUM – $46.00 FOR 0 TO 7,000 GALLONS USED
$3.25 PER 1,000 GALLONS OF WATER USED IN EXCESS OF 7,000 GALLONS
SEWER MINIMUM – $105.00 FOR 0 TO 7,000 GALLONS USED
$3.50 PER 1,000 GALLONS OF SEWERAGE USED IN EXCESS OF 7,000 GALLONS
