The Island Heights Cultural and Heritage Association (IHC&HA), was founded in 1987 after interest in the historic and cultural heritage of the town was brought to the surface during the Anniversary Celebration of the town’s Incorporation.

The Cottage Museum is owned and operated by the Island Heights Cultural & Heritage Association. It is an 1880’s style Carpenter Gothic two-story summer cottage that is open to the public free of charge. It is open on Saturdays, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm, from April through December, or by request. They are children friendly and welcome small groups for private tours with 24-48 hour notice. A docent is there to guide you through this Victorian era cottage and/or answer your questions.
